Approach

I love working with families and couples because I believe that all families deserve to find the peace, joy and acceptance of one another that sets each member up to be the best version of themselves.

There is complexity and richness in the family and couple system as each person comes with their own unique set of ideas, challenges and strengths. I want to help couples and families build understanding and compassion and find the balance to create a foundation of safety, comfort and support from which they achieve their full potential.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is a key part of what I love to do and can be the starting place for a changed life and the beginnings of a new pattern for generations to come. The Gottman Method gives couples the confidence to rebuild in forward-thinking ways and gives couples the tools to achieve lasting change.
I feel the excitement as the work begins to turn into new habits and mindsets and the family interactions become healthier and more connected. I feel pride in empowering couples and families to change and grow throughout their lives with the foundation that they learned using the Gottman Method.

Experiences

One of my major strengths is that I have had opportunities to work with a variety of different issues and populations, including relationships, sexual issues, substance use, mental health, and medical conditions and disabilities.

I endeavour to bring all of that experience into the therapy room as needed so my clients can really achieve an overall sense of well-being. My experience combined with my education gives me a unique perspective that really helps clients feel heard and valued for who they are.

I am thrilled to offer couples and sex therapy as well as a parenting workshop several times a year. It is wonderful knowing that I am able to serve families in my hometown that I love.

I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, and I love it here. I have a husband and two children that really rejuvenate me. We like going on adventures, being active, and playing games together with family and friends.
